MBUX shines at the Zenith Bank Tech Fair

As part of Weststar’s efforts to continually boost Mercedes-Benz’s market leadership in the luxury car segment in Nigeria, the Marketing and Sales teams executed a one of its kind sales activation at the Zenith Bank Tech Fair on the 27th of November, 2019 at Landmark Event Center, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Zenith Bank, one of Nigeria’s foremost financial institutions has always looked to be at the fore of innovation especially in the banking industry. On this occasion, however, the financial institution decided to create a platform where the best technological innovations in different walks of life would be showcased. Weststar Associates Limited, Authorized General Distributor of Mercedes-Benz in the Federal Republic of Nigeria and brand custodian of the three-pointed star in this market took this opportunity to collaborate with an equally respectable brand who have like Mercedes-Benz recorded great strides in their industry.

At the fore of this sales activation was one of Mercedes-Benz’s latest innovations that has already begun to revolutionize the global auto industry, the Mercedes-Benz User Experience famously known by the acronym MBUX. The MBUX is the latest generation of Mercedes-Benz’s infotainment system (NTG 6) which promises "revolution in the cockpit". It is a digitized multimedia system that aims to learn and understand the needs of the user via artificial intelligence. It also interacts with users through multiple channels like a touch screen, a touchpad, and the LINGUATRONIC voice control using the keyword “Hey Mercedes”.

Numerous attendees, as well as tech enthusiasts, came to have a feel of the new multimedia system at Mercedes-Benz stand. The A-Class which debuted the MBUX last year was the showcase car for this event. Members of the Weststar team took the attendees on brief sessions on how to use the MBUX and also explained to them the benefit and significance of the multimedia system for their day to day driving experience.

The windfall of visits to the Mercedes-Benz stand and inquiries were higher than expected, with most of the attendees giving positive feedback from their experience with MBUX. This made it one of the major talking points at the Zenith Bank Tech Fair, Weststar will continue to introduce more innovations from the world of Mercedes-Benz to the Nigerian market as we look to introduce the newest models of Mercedes-Benz by next year.
