Weststar holds technical training for dealers in collaboration with Diamler

Good training and development are important for staff retention and growing profits. As the battle for top talent becomes more competitive, employee training and development programs are more important than ever.

In our continuous effort for growth and development, Weststar Associates Ltd in association with Mercedes-Benz Global Training has again conducted a series of training programmes for members of the Weststar team in Lagos and Abuja. Mercedes-Benz Global Training Academy facilitated these pieces of training specifically for the Sales and After-sales departments.

The excitement of the incoming Passenger Cars for 2019 also mandates that we equip our Sales and After-Sales team with the prerequisite skills and knowledge on Passenger cars.

Our Technical team in the After-Sales division have been trained on Comfort, Convenience and Safety Systems as well as Passenger Car Telematics. This session was facilitated by Kayo Modi a seasoned Mercedes-Benz Global Academy Consultant. The aim of this training is to enable our Technicians to accurately apply current Mercedes-Benz test and measuring equipment and information systems for car maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs. They will also be able to perform targeted troubleshooting on electrical and electronic components. Our Technicians were also trained on Passenger Car Diagnosis strategy and Electrical systems, facilitated by Guido Storm of Mercedes-Benz Global Training.

The sales team were also not left out of the training too. The Sales Executives have been equipped with the latest knowledge on Passenger Car Telematics, A-Class Model Series Market Launch, and G-Class Model Series facelift. This training was conducted by yet another knowledgeable Mercedes-Benz Global Training Consultant, Alfred Sieger. These training sessions were conducted in Lagos for both the Abuja and Lagos arms.
