The exterior of the new Sprinter highlights design innovations and more special features in comparism to its predecessor model. The design is inspired by sensual purity, the same philosophy in which all Mercedes-Benz models have been designed. The front design’s highlights include a new radiator grille with 3 powerful louvers and the bumper comes in the vehicle body colour. The new LED headlamps come with longer service life, reduced dazzle effect and better support in different visibility conditions. The side design stands out with concise lines, smooth transmissions and flowing surfaces that enhance the vehicle’s active character. The rear end’s self-detent rear door hinges are functional with visual improvement, and the Mercedes star is positioned beneath the rear windows.

The interior in the new Sprinter takes the concept of a passenger car design. The high quality design comes with enhanced value appeal and there is a new operating concept with new functions and improved ergonomics. The new cockpit design comes with an attractive interplay between dark grey elements, combined with black high gloss surfaces. The multifunction steering wheel comes with an extended functional scope, with the control elements logically grouped on both sides. Another highlight is the keyless start with practical engine start and stop function at the touch of a button; while the multifunctional box transforms the cab into a mobile office, it is easy to remove and easy to stow in the seat base frame.

Passengers enjoy enhanced comfort with the variety of seating options and overall improved seating comfort. The new Sprinter impresses with rear-wheel drive and engine variants of four and six-cylinder diesel engines. The four cylinder engines come with 3 output levels with the greatest power at 120 KW, while the 6 cylinder comes with one output level of 140 KW. The engines have also been equipped with further measures to optimize fuel consumption. Another standout feature however is the new digital engine oil display included on the dashboard, this helps avoid possible damage and repair costs. The rear wheel drive in the Sprinter comes with 6-speed manual transmission as standard equipment, while there is the optional 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission available for all diesel models. There are also drive select switches and shift paddles on the steering wheels that come with the automatic transmission models for comfortable gear shifting.

The safety systems in the new Sprinter are hugely emphasized to make a difference for the driver at all times. There is optimum visibility for the driver with the new wind shield wiper system which comes with a rain sensor, while the new LED headlamps come with improved illumination. There is also the addition of several support systems for the drive that include; Blind Spot Assist, Adaptive ESP, Active Brake Assist, Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and more.
