The M274 petrol engine comes with a 66-liter tank as standard and provides more efficiency with petrol savings of up to 12%. The GLC also has the 9G-TRONIC transmission included as standard. Other features include the new suspension systems namely AGILITY CONTROL comfort suspension, Sports suspension, Off-Road suspension & AIR BODY CONTROL. All suspensions include the DYNAMIC SELECT system as standard. There is also the Off-Road Engineering package, this comes with up to five off-road driving programs. This package is available in combination with the Off-Road suspension or the AIR BODY CONTROL.

Never compromising on safety, Mercedes-Benz has included safety and assistance systems to the GLC, many of these system have been adopted from the C-Class. These include; the BAS PLUS with Cross-Traffic Assist, PRE-SAFE brake with pedestrian detection, PRE SAFE PLUS with near collision warning & protection systems, COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS and more. The HANDS-FREE ACCESS assistance system which comes as special equipment, is used for the contactless opening and closing of the tailgate.

The Infotainment and Navigation system of the GLC come with Telematics generation 5 which boasts of a touchpad & other features.
